We are excited to share all the information in the below email in relation to the Term 4 Junior Canterbury Secondary School Water Polo Competition for 2024.
The A grade for boys and girls will be run from both venues Tairoa QEII and Jellie Park, consisting of six teams playing two games per week. This being a 5 game round robin, quarter finals between teams placed 3-6 followed by semi finals in Week 5. Week 6 will be finals week which will lead into South Island Secondary Schools beginning on Thursday 21st November 2024.
We made the decision to increase the weekly games to two per week due to the limited games before the South Island Secondary Schools Water Polo Tournament. We believe the more games played the better to prepare the players and teams before the South Island tournament.
The B and C grade for boys and girls will be run from Christchurch Boys High School this competition will run from Week 2-Week 6.
Term 4 we are introducing our A grade finals week (week 6) we believe is a fantastic opportunity for all the schools to come together, support their peers and create some great school competition.
Once all the entries are completed by the schools, there may be an option for a combined team depending on the number of teams.
We want all schools to join our community to give Water Polo a go, we are excited for the term ahead and welcome all Canterbury Secondary Schools and enter a Junior Water Polo Team or Teams for Term 4, 2024 .
